Travel games and interactive chats are a great way for me to engage with people. For those of you who follow me socials it’s something I’ve frequently done. Most times it takes inspiration from someone or somewhere, especially if it adds to my bucket lists. Speaking of inspiration and bucket lists, I was inspired to do this very post by Hannah from Hannah Kay Blogs. Hannah did a blog post on her ultimate chick flick list. I’m personally not into watching click flicks much but I admired how fun and unique it was in terms of engaging her readers more! Shoutout to her, link to her blog is here. I decided to follow suit and do something similar but travel-related instead. Behold – the ultimate tourist attraction bucket list.

The Game

This isn’t a traditional travel bucket list where you share the things you dream of doing and places you want to visit but rather like a mini game. The way the game works is that you score 1 point for each attraction or landmark you have visited that’s on the list and then you leave your overall score in the comments. In addition there are 30 attractions altogether and the majority of the attractions are in Europe. I’ve tried to include attractions I havent visited before to make things fairer.

So what score out of 30 did you end up with? I hope you guys had fun doing this (unless you got pissed off that I didnt include any of your faves 🤣). I think the idea of an ultimate tourist attraction bucket list game is gold and interactive and think I might do different versions of these. Again credit to Hannah for giving me the idea.

Sadly we have only scored 3, much travelling to be done it seems 😂

  2. July 2, 2020 / 10:35 am

There’s only two places I’ve visited on the list but there are so many more I’d love to visit in the future. The Eiffel Tower is probably at the top of my list but I’d also really like to visit the Northern Lights and Victoria Falls. There are so many wonderful places to visit and see all over the world and I can’t wait to be able to see some in the future 😀

Cheers! 10 seem like a reasonable target to have in mind. Which 2 have you been to?

  4. July 2, 2020 / 11:44 am

I’m only at 3, looks like I have a lot of traveling to do !

A paltry 3. I knew it would be low and am hopeful the world will open up soon safely, so I can keep earning points.

Thanks Alexis, okay not too bad so far. Which 6 have you been to?

  9. July 2, 2020 / 1:07 pm

Oh no, only 4! I’m one of those people that skips the sights and goes for the hidden things so that might be why, haha. Love this idea though!

Well done! Highest so far I think 🙂

  10. July 2, 2020 / 4:07 pm

This is a really fun idea! I managed to get 6 (or maybe 7 if you count seeing a section of the Berlin Wall in the Newseum in Washington, D.C.). I’m definitely hoping to visit more of these places once I’m able to travel out of the US again 🙂

  11. July 2, 2020 / 4:18 pm

Such a great list and really got me in the mood for travelling again!

  12. July 2, 2020 / 5:31 pm

3! I demand a recount! Or a round the world plane ticket! Actually just the ticket will do.

This is a great list, I will await your review on all of these, you know I love your travel reviews, I can almost pretend I have experienced it that way.

For now though, I will tell the man he has to take me to the other 27 before I am 50! (40 is too close!)

Only 2 and they’re both in New York! I’ve got some work to do, but I’m guessing 2020 won’t be the year I check any more off the list… Here’s hoping that 2021 is a better year for travel!

  15. July 3, 2020 / 4:37 pm

I checked the list twice and my score is zero… that’s ok. I’ll visit one of the places soon. 😉

Totally not okay! We need to put that right 😊

      • July 6, 2020 / 6:09 pm

Well if you can include Parthenon, Santorini, Schönbrunn Palace and other parts in Asia and the Middle east I may have a couple of points 😉

I see almost everyone here is having between 2 and 3 😀 And so I…
I have visited 3 places but for example to Szèchenyi Thermal Baths I just didn’t wanted to go, so I can say that I visited it from the outside 😀 But my trip to Paris and Eiffel Tower was postoned… But slowly, step by step, I will have more and more.
    How much do you have?

  19. July 4, 2020 / 2:50 pm

I scored 3 😐 Stonehenge, Pisa and The Parthenon will hopefully be the next ones I tick off!

I scored 8! There are so sights on this list that I need to visit!

I have only managed #3, 4 and 5 in your list and I saw #1 from a bit of a distance when we visited Paris. I was lucky enough to live in Europe from ages 5 to 11 and my parents took me to a bunch of plaecs within mainland Europe but it was before the Wall fell so I only got to see if from the West German side.

  22. July 6, 2020 / 10:16 am

I scored eight. I was hoping to get to double figures but ran out of list! Sadly there were a couple of places in the UK I haven’t been to.

  23. July 9, 2020 / 10:13 am

I scored 6. (7 of you add the Grand Canyon, 8 if you add Running with The Bulls in Pamplona)!! Haha. These are great, and I love this idea. So much fun.

  24. July 9, 2020 / 11:40 am

What a great idea! On that list I am only on 6 at the moment but hopefully when restrictions begin to ease and we can travel safely again I want to be able to tick off all 30! 😂

Such a great list! I’m a big fan of finding non tourist attractions but I still want to see the main attractions!

  26. July 11, 2020 / 9:51 am

Hahahah, I feel so bad I haven’t been to many, but I hope that changes soon. Such a fun game to play though. Hope I can score more points soon. LOL.

How embarrassing 😭 I’ve only got 4 so I need to travel more asap!

  29. July 14, 2020 / 10:05 am

I’ve been to seven of the places on the list. Several more I’d like to visit, but some notable omissions in my opinion 😉
    Thanks for sharing

That’s quite good so far! And what would those omissions be 😂

  30. July 14, 2020 / 3:42 pm

Great post! My favourite tourist attraction has got to be Sagrada Familia.
It’s such a beautiful work of art!
Some of the most visited buildings in Barcelona were designed by Gaudi (including Sagrada Familia) and they are simply breathtaking. Casa Batllo, Park Guell, the list goes on.

Thats cool to know. Their architecture is known to be quite stunning so it’s good to know who’s behind it all! Appreciate you sharing this, but of a history lesson 🙌🏾

  31. August 3, 2020 / 11:47 pm

My score is zero lol. I’m way too scared to get on planes lol but maybe one day after all of this is over I’ll decide to face my fears.

Where's your head at....
