A new year is upon us. It’s normally around this time we’re thinking what to leave behind in 2018 and what to take into 2019 so that we are living our best lives.
That often means giving ourselves the dreaded new year resolutions to live up to. Some of those may include trying new things, traveling to new untouched terrain or taking steps towards your career goals.
I had a few resolutions of my own – but I personally decided to turn it into a bucket list instead since there were plenty of things I set out to do.

My travel and lifestyle bucket list:
1. Travel to a country in Africa
2. Take a selfie with a flight attendant
3. Visit Winter Wonderland
4. Explore two other cities/towns in the UK
5. Attend a blogging convention (any ones anyone know of feel free to plug them in the comments)
6. Drink alcohol and get tipsy on a flight
7. Attend a Networking event outside of London
8. Officially become a qualified Personal Trainer
9. Start running my own fitness classes
10. Earn my first paycheck from blogging!
11. Reduce my body weight to 90kg by my very last gym session of 2019.
12. Pass my driving test
13. Go Indoor Skydiving
14. Drink Scotch Whisky in Scotland
15. Host a blogging chat over social media
16. Attend a Motorsport race
17. Go on a Mercedes-Benz driving experience
18. Attend a Comic/Film-con
19. Have three regular income streams by the end of 2019
Final Word
What are your travelling and lifestyle goals for the new year? I’m planning to review them by mid-year and the end of the year to gauge where I’m at.
Thank you to everyone who has read my blog this year. All the success myself and the blog has had is down to every single reader. I’ve enjoyed writing about traveling and long may it continue into 2019!
To all the readers: Happy New Year – and a belated Merry Christmas!

That’s an awesome list with some great destinations! Can’t wait to read all about everything you check off!!
Author
Thanks! Yeah this will definitely make for a fun read whenever I look back during the year!
If you are into scuba diving, I highly recommend Egypt (for the Red sea) and South Africa for places to go on the continent! Also in the UK, I recommend Brighton, Newquay, Edinburgh and Cardiff if you haven’t been there yet.

Oh wow thanks for the recommendations Rachel. I’m actually going Edinburgh next month and need to plan my itinerary so I’ll defo consider doing it there. Although may not a great idea to do it in Scotland given the time of the year
Here’s hoping you get these all ticked off 🙌🏿
Author
By hook or crook we’ll get there!
It’s a great idea to switch ‘resolutions’ to a bucket list! You’ve got some great things on here, I’d definitely love to do some travelling this year, but we’re focusing on saving to it may not be abroad. However, I’m looking forward to some adventures in the UK!
Happy new year!

Thank you Kayla! Happy 2019 to you too 🙂 Well at least you’re still planning to go somewhere haha. Travelling is not always about the destination but what you see and experience!
Truth is – with me – there’s not much to resolve but rather things to improve on and experience which is all part of personal growth and enjoyment 🙂

Thanks Jenna, lets hope so! Made sure they were ones that are realistic and achievable
Great list! I hope that you get these all done for 2019! 1, 10 and 15 are definitely things I want to accomplish in the future as well.
Author
Appreciate the comments Alex 🙂 You’ll get them done as long as you give it attention and focus. I’m actually hosting a blog chat tomorrow so that’ll be one down already!
To explore two other cities and towns in the UK, I would recommend York, Canterbury, Bath or Stratford-Upon-Avon.
Or, if you want to go off the beaten track and see a town in a National Park, Hawes and Grassington in the Yorkshire Dales are lovely!
Best of luck for the year.

I’ve actually been to Canterbury and Stratford-Upon-Avon before and I enjoyed the visits. So much history in both the towns! Would love to go and see a play in Stratford-Upon Avon given that was where Shakespeare was born. Cheers for the other recommendations though, will keep them in mind 👍🏾
Great bucket list! You should definitely check out Winter Wonderland!

I am so impressed how well thoughtout these are. Positive vibes you get them done!
Author
Thank you so much, definitely gonna need those vibes to carry me 😊
Love this list. I go to Winter Wonderland every year – I love it there and it’s like a tradition now. It’s so funny that you want to take a selfie with a flight attendant! Haha. I also want to go on a driving experience, but in a Ferrari. Thanks for sharing your list, can’t wait to see how many you achieve!

Cheers Nic, I think this list is gonna make my year a more exciting one! I can imagine, there’s a lot to do at Winter Wonderland and always something for everyone it seems. I’ve always missed out every year but not this year 🙁 Shame about your taste in Ferraris though 😋
I love this bucket list idea, so cool! I also would like to visit Winter Wonderland (I always promise myself I’ll go each year and never do), pass my driving test and attend a comic/film con 🙂 Plus I’d really love to take my little one to Disneyland Paris this year, although that’s a bit of a reach but hey, a girl can dream! Happy New Year, Johnny 🙂
Author
Happy new year to you too Jess! Never say never to Disneyland, wish I had a chance to go when I was younger so try not to make her miss out on the experience. All the best with your driving test whenever you take it 👍🏾
I’d love to skydive too, it’s been on my bucket list for a while but I just have to get the courage together to do it. The selfie with the flight attendant point really did make me chuckle, I hope you achieve your goals and tick off a good few of these this year.

Yeah same, I don’t think I’m quite ready for outdoor skydiving yet! A bit too extreme for me 🙂 Thanks for taking your time out to read Julia
Well you’ve already hosted your blogger chat! I want to attend a blogger event too, let me know if you find any!
Author
Haha yep that’s one down already! Thanks for reading Holly and thanks a lot for joining in yesterday too. Was a lot of fun chatting with everyone xD
Number 10 and 19 are high on my list too! Good luck with your goals this year! X
Such a nice post!!! And your bucket list is quite cool tbh haha! I’ve never been tipsy on a plane but now you made me want to hahah
I hope you’ll achieve everything on that list by the end of the year x

Hahaha cheers Anais, sometimes you gotta try out other ways to make a flight journey a bit merrier 🙂
Love, love, love the idea of turning your resolutions into a bucket list. I think it’s definitely a more fun way to look at things. Your list is full of wonderful things and I hope you are able to achieve them all 😊 Ghana seems is a popular destination, ive been a few times. Another place to consider for Africa is Cape Verde. The islands are off the coast of West Africa.

Thank you Merrell! I agree that doing a bucket list with goals is more forward-thinking. Yeah Ghana is actually very lovely I hear. Hmm never knew Cape Verde was close to Africa tbh, defo will look into it 🙂
You got me thinking man. I haven’t done any such thing like preparing a bucket list, till now. But you certainly have some very interesting things in your list and I would love to track you journey as the year progresses. All the best!!
And BTW, Wish you a very happy new year.
Author
Thanks man, will be reviewing my own goals later in the year so feel free to come back to the blog and check up!
So many fun things on your bucket list! I’m hoping to go to Hawaii for the first time this year!
Author
Hawaii is a classic dream holiday! Hope you can make it happen 👍🏾
Great post and really fun goals for the year. As a new blogger I also wanted to attend a conference. I just booked TravelCon in Boston this year so really excited (maybe a little nervous) about that. Good luck with your goals!
Author
That’s really awesome! Hope you enjoy the convention, would love to go to a travel con that’s in London.
Such a great list of goals! I hope you get to achieve all of them this year! 😊

We got a few similarities in the bucket list.
Travel wise
I want to go to New York, San Francisco.
Israel on a religious trip
A day trip to France, Paris
Visit Poland, Auschwitz concentration camp.
Other stuff includes;
Driving a sports car.
Man vs Food challenge
Gaining some work experience before I graduate university
Sky dive

There’s defo a lot of crossover man. I went Paris for a day a few years ago myself and it was really good! It was actually my first solo trip ever. Never will forget. A Man vs Food challenge would be crazy! What made you want to do it?
Amazing list! I look forward to seeing you achieve them!
Nice list. Nomadic Matt is having a blogger conference in Boston. Check it out. And if you want to add India to your bucket list. https://www.crackingindiatours.com
This is exciting & I really hope you get at least half of them done (I personally think you’ll get them all especially number 10 – well deserved!)
I have a lot of things I want to get done this year and I’m more than ready to get the ball rolling…
I come back home to LDN in September so want a little city break when i’m home then too (Maybe Italy) I also have a list of places I want to visit this year whilst being in Australia (Fiji, Cook Islands, Philippines & Perth)
Lifestyle – I also want to start collaborating with brands and getting paid for my blog but I have a longgg way to go. I also want to start making a physical business plan and start researching into it all ready for 2020 (part of my 5 year plan to start my business)
