A little bit of a lifestyle focused post from myself to break up the floods of travel content thrown at you guys of late.
As mentioned above I was recently gifted a box of 12x Gatorade Cool Blue hydration drinks to try out and review.
So lets get straight into it. First of all, the Cool blue flavour left me with 3s I’d say: a strong, sweet, sugary taste. It’s probably explained by the honey and citric acid. Citric acid being familiar in fizzy energy drinks like Red Bull and Mountain Dew to name a few. I don’t usually have honey in my fluids, so it was a nice surprise when I found out the drink contained honey.
Carbohydrates and electrolytes are very much present in the drink. They’re very beneficial not just for hydration and replacing the fluid the body is losing but also charges individuals with bursts of energy and enhances concentration. Those bursts of energy and better focus I would find useful for my everyday life. Like blogging in my workspace and my gym workouts for instance. For exercise in particular I see it as a useful pre-workout supplement as well as a in-workout supplement.
Also the benefits even extend to travelling. Particularly on walking tours around cities and outdoor activities I may take part in. More or less like in Majorca when I did Jetskiing. In fact I actually could have done with a sweet aura in my mouth. Instead of the bitter, salty water that kept splashing into me.
What I find cool about this drink (pun unintended – for the 100th time on a blog post!) is how filling it seems. A few sips or two is enough for your stomach to be full & fuelled for whatever you want to do. Plus it may be able to control your appetite, potentially promoting weight loss.
Like with many hydration drinks, they’re best stored in the fridge so that its natural goodness isn’t lost in room temperature and can therefore reap physical and mental benefits.
It was refreshing trying out Gatorade’s Cool Blue flavour. If I was to sum it up briefly: it’s a hybrid of a hydration and energy drink. You can use it to replenish sweat loss and use it for fuel.
