10 Quotes That Will Inspire You To Travel After Quarantine

10 Quotes That Will Inspire You To Travel After Quarantine

10 Quotes That Will Inspire You To Travel After Quarantine | Johnny's Traventures | Pinterest

There’s a lot of us serial travellers out there that I’d imagine are missing the empowering and thrilling feeling that exploring the world is giving us. We all need a bit of inspiration and cheering up from the doom and gloom that is this pandemic.

I thought I’d find 10 quotes that will inspire you to travel after quarantine and motivate you for your next – wait for it – traventure!

1. “I choose To Collect Memories Instead Of Things”

Valuing experiences and memories over materialism. It reminds me that material possessions will break and wear and tear but experiences are life-long and stay with you for a long period of time.

2. “My Goal Is To Die With Memories Not With Dreams”

10 Quotes That Will Inspire To Travel After Quarantine | Travel Inspiration | Travel Quotes

I don’t want my life to be unfulfilled with success and not only filled with “what ifs”. I’ve always travelled with a grand aim of looking back on my life, telling the younger generations about the experiences I had. Hopefully that inspires them to go out and get the experiences they want.

3. “Not All Classrooms Have Four Walls”

10 Quotes That Will Inspire To Travel After Quarantine | Travel Inspiration | Travel Quotes

This quote seems vague on the face of it. However I think it means a lot more than meets the eye. It can apply to many aspects of life and can hold many interpretations. My interpretation is that it touches on how educational and empowering travelling can be for one person. Also perhaps there are no limits or boundaries to learning.

4. “The Most Beautiful Thing In The World Is, Of Course, The World Itself”

10 Quotes That Will Inspire To Travel After Quarantine | Travel Inspiration | Travel Quotes

The natural wonders, aura and diversity this world has and the opportunity to explore it in countless different ways is one. Many languages, cultures, way of life and communities. Yet the one thing that probably unites us, through the good or bad, is the everyday pursuit for our world to be a better place than it was the day before.

5. “The Best View Comes After The Hardest Climb”

10 Quotes That Will Inspire To Travel After Quarantine | Travel Inspiration | Travel Quotes

Accurate to a tee because the higher you are the more of the landscape you can see and thus better scenery. Hard-work and perseverance is what I feel this quote implies metaphorically. For you to get the best in life you’re gonna have to be willing to put in the graft.

6. “Travel Is Never A Matter Of Money But Of Courage”

10 Quotes That Will Inspire To Travel After Quarantine | Travel Inspiration | Travel Quotes

You can have all the money and essentials in the world. But if you dont consciously make the time and take that leap of faith to book that trip then chances are you’ll be deprived of an incredible life experience.

7. “Travelling Is About Finding Those Things You Never Knew You Were Looking For”

10 Quotes That Will Inspire You To Travel | Travel Inspiration | Travel Quote

Finding the answers to question you didnt think of asking. You didn’t travel with the intention of meeting new people but somehow you’ve made a new friend. You didn’t travel to experiment with new food but next thing you know you come back with a favourite dessert to eat. Initially you may just have wanted to escape the routine but found inspiration for your next trip.

8. “Jobs Fill Your Pockets, But Adventures Fill Your Soul”

Its plain and simple to understand this one. Working earns you the money afforded to go and travel and gives you the means to do things. But in the end it’s the experiences and actual activities themselves that give you the joy and happiness you get from travel. Earning money on your travels is the best of both worlds. I did a post on the jobs and careers that can allow you this opportunity.

9. “The World Is A Book And Those Who Do Not Travel Read Only One Page”

10 Quotes That Will Inspire You To Travel After Quarantine | Travel Inspiration | Quotes

Travellers are more cultured and knowledgeable about the world than those who haven’t travelled as much nor are as passionate about travelling. That’s what this spells out to me.

10. “Travel. Because Money Returns Time Doesnt.”

10 Quotes That Will Inspire You To Travel After Quarantine | Travel Inspiration | Quotes

I instantly thought back to my first solo trip to Paris (you can read about it here) when I first saw this. In some ways it is relevant because life is too short and the more I dwell on “what ifs” or “buts” the more time I’m losing out on. The money can always be earned to afford the trip but circumstances can influence the time I have to make the trip happen.

What are some of your favourite travel-related quotes that motivate you to explore the world? Feel free to leave them in the comments box below and hope some of these quotes have given you a bit of travel inspiration.

Stay at home, stay safe and stay sane!

Anytime Maddie and yeah for sure you can never travel too much. I think generally a lot of happy memories flow from the sense of adventure and being on a journey. Ohhh my how comes you had a slump? Good to know you’re out of it though 😊

      • May 2, 2020 / 9:35 am

Yes I totally agree! I think I had just got a bit scared to go travelling again when all this has happened so quickly, but you can’t stop doing everything in life now because of fear can you!

  3. May 1, 2020 / 10:17 am

These quotes speak to me closely from collecting memories to learning new things every spot I visit.

  5. May 1, 2020 / 6:08 pm

Awesome quotes. I have always loved travelling and yeah once this all this quarantine stuff is over, I will definetely be travelling again. I see travelling as a rejuvenation

  9. May 2, 2020 / 3:37 pm

Oh I love these! Making memories is by far my biggest life goal.

I don’t want to look back in a few years time and wish I’d done more, seen more, taken more pictures, loved those around me more and of course see the whole world.

    That’ll be how I know I’ve lived a full life 💕

    • Johnny
      May 3, 2020 / 9:47 am

I’m the same as well. Life is way too short to he dwelling and it’s best gauged on your experiences and memories not by possessions you have

  10. May 2, 2020 / 4:09 pm

Particularly love #7! It’s only when you travel & step outside of your comfort zone that you discover things you never knew were inside yourself!

      May 3, 2020 / 10:17 am

This is 100% accurate to the tee. You learn more about yourself when you do more risky things

Beautiful quotes! I love them all and hope very soon we will be able to travel again. This virus cancelled a few on my trips, but I am still keeping up with planning and when the situation will be over, you will see me traveling!

I loved reading these quotes, I definitely don’t travel as much as I would like and I’m pretty sure it is just having the courage to do so, like the quote travel is never a matter of money but courage says. I have definitely travelled somewhere too and come back with something (like food) that I now love and wouldn’t have tried if I didn’t go to that place. These have definitely inspired me to want to travel more, once everything has calmed down I would like to start taking more travelling opportunities – it is all about creating memories and experiences that you can look back on. Thank you for sharing these!

Same here, I was meant to go Lisbon last month but with every day closer to the trip the more uncomfortable I became and ultimately I hit the cancel button. Still hoping to go Lisbon if not then at least somewhere by the end of the year

      • May 21, 2020 / 7:17 pm

Wonderful quotes! I truly miss travelling and can’t wait to do so again after this pandemic is over. So true that money returns but time doesn’t.

  18. May 6, 2020 / 1:24 pm

These are some great quotes! I love the one that says “Not all classrooms have four walls” – I can relate to that so much. Going on an adventure and exploring new places has taught me so much about the history of things, different cultures etc,. it’s amazing what you can learn. I can’t wait to be able to travel again – thanks for sharing x

I started solo traveling a few months before the world closed down and I’m itching to get back out there. My list of places to visit is officially longer than the list of places I’ve been…I’m thinking of exploring the west coast first.
Great post, I’m so excited to start traveling again once this is all over,

  27. May 17, 2020 / 8:03 am

Lovely post Jonny! I think you’ve nailed a brilliant collection of 10 inspirational travel quotes. My favourite is actually already of your list too!

The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.

The perfect combination of my love of travel and reading- both can be total escapes 🙂

  28. May 18, 2020 / 1:31 pm

I love these! Another fave of mine is “dream as if you’ll live forever, live as if you’ll die today” by James Dean. Reminds me that I’ll regret not seeing the places in the world and the memories I’ll make there!

That’s a touching one too. The way I see it is that you can wish for anything and as much as you allow yourself to and give it your all to make your wish come true every day.

These quotes give me hope in a time of no hope. Our grandson is six. His parents can’t give him the joy of travel because they can’t afford it and may not ever be able to afford it. We have been trying to balance our joy of traveling just the two of us (we do so enjoy that) and traveling with him to give him these wonderful experiences. These quotes just nailed it for me. Thank you. I do so hope we can get back to this.

Number nine is my favorite as I love both traveling and reading! I even have it at the bottom of my blog 🙂 Some people never leave their hometown and have no desire to learn, see, and explore. I was kinda like that (minus the no desire part) as I haven’t been abroad until I was in my twenties. And then I went away… and couldn’t stop myself from traveling ever since. It’s like a good drug that educates you at the same time, but you are never the same after taking it.

My goal is to die with memories not dreams is beautiful!

I’m dying to travel again. My husband and I were planning to go to Japan this year. But as the year progressed he felt so uneasy and kept putting off travel plans (he works at a news station and is the first to know everything). Then this pandemic happened. I everyday keep begging him that I hope we can go somewhere in 2021 and he promises he will, but I can tell he feels so uneasy about it. He wants to see other people traveling first before he feels comfortable with us traveling, and to make sure there are no more restrictions and guidelines.
